He Cried!!!

I was in a rush last night and didn't post this and then I wanted to post it first thing this morning but I forgot! It's the first time I heard him cry! And only the second time Nicki heard him cry! it was such a wonderful moment!

Pedro's so much Better!

We went to visit again today. All that he's on now is OXYGEN!!! that's awesome!!! so exciting! they moved the IV from his belly button to his head and now he can be held. He even opened his eyes for us today. It was the first time any of us had seen his eyes!!!

Good News!!!

We were just informed that "Pedro's" oxygen level is down to 43!!! That's great!!! Just wanted to let everyone know that! :) LoVeS!

Baby Blue!

We went to visit the baby yesterday again. It was Grandma, Nicki, PJ, Sis and I. It was the first day Sis actually got to see him!!! They had him under a blue light cuz he was looking a little yellow. So he's got on cool shades in these pics...lol. Good News!!! They took him off of a few things yesterday so now the only machines he's attached to is the ventilator and oxygen. And he's down to only one IV, the one in his belly button that is keeping us from holding him.

Update!!!

So I apologize that I hadn't posted this when I found out but I just didn't have the time! Little "Pedro's" name isn't Kayden Aaron, they had changed their minds and went with Joshua Daniel (which I like so much better.) He's been transferred to the Harrisburg hospital and we are told he will be in the NICU until the end of August. We are all hoping and praying that it will not be that long. I wanted to see the little bug so "Mama Nicki" and Grandma took me yesterday. We can't really do much with him. At first we were only allowed to touch his head but when the afternoon rolled around, we were allowed to let him hold our fingers and we could touch his precious feet. Nicki got to help change his diaper for the first time yesterday but it's killing her that she's only held him for about five seconds when he first came out. Here's some pics of him that we took yesterday...

I loved just standing there staring at him while he held my finger, so did Nicki. <3

When we got there yesterday his oxygen was at 53, which is a great improvement from where we were. By the time we left it was back up to 64 but still GREAT improvement from where we started.

Birthday's all Around!

Alright guys so not only is today my birthday but Kayden was born today too!!! Nicki and PJ are so excited that they have their little bundle of joy! His name is Kayden Aaron and he's 5 lbs 10 oz, 19 inches long. I'll keep everyone posted on how he's doing since he's 5 weeks early. He's having some breathing trouble but otherwise he's good.
